At the moment the only book I have written a scifi-fantasy novella Town of Dudley Sixth, currently available on amazon:

It is book one in a series. The novella is based on an alien planet- where an apocalypse occurs. The planet they live on, is called Planet Kepler (The name 'kepler' is actually used for planets which are similar to earth). However the setting is in the past- long before humans existed.

As of now- we believe aliens that are more advanced than us might exist. The novella dwells in an era when the aliens used a form of mechanical technology (cogs, gears, springs etc) as an energy source. They have cars, trucks, buses and even spaceships. However the spaceships are massive and rely on chemicals to power them or an alternative energy source- black matter.

There are galaxies full of alien species. However this planet is now isolated from the others. It used to be an important place- a trade hub; with a lavish city ' Lukemilldale' for high profile personalities. However everything changed when a spaceship collided with the planet. Destroying most of the planet- save for one city. Lukemilldale.

A partition was made. Either you were in the city and safe, or outside and dangerous. Everyone outside was either a mutant (the chemicals- some were radioactive) or a rogue survivor. A threat to the safety of the city. All other planets mysteriously cut their ties- no one came to help. The story is based 23 years after the collision.

Follow the lifestyle of a survivor within the city walls- Sambol. Here on this planet the weather is harsh- the sun rays no longer touch the ground. They have a technology that allows a certain blend of chemicals and dark matter to make small orbs of light- stars. That they use as street lights.

This novella is written as if this technology was normal. As it gives more of an original feel than the narrative telling you every nitty gritty and disturbing the flow.

Also there are a few references to mechanical watch specs, mainly to emphasize that the aliens use a mechanical form of technology/non electric. I hope you enjoy the story. Not one of those series with ten, fifteen books- perhaps a triology or series of seven.

A review by Jamie C. on amazon:

"A fun sci-fi read that kept me on my toes. The plot was unpredictable and the characters were well developed. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a great sci-fi book. I am looking forward to book 2."
